A "Platform" product
OGT's production process has been designed to produce a high quality product consisting in freshly extracted seaweed with both unsoluble and soluble compounds; these compounds, due to the freshness standard imposed by OGT on the raw material and the the low-temperature production process, remain as high as it is naturally in the raw material and fully intact. Non altered compounds are vital to retain any of their bioactivity. From this “Platform” product , a wide variety of bioactive extracts can be created for various applications:
Plant health management: oligosaccharides, antioxidants, soil bacteria combination.
Animal health management: natural antiviral and antibacterial compounds, immuno-stimulant molecules via polysaccharides (complex carbohydrates).
Human health management: natural multipotent agents (fucoidans), natural source of beta-glucans (laminarans), rich source in marine polyphenols (antioxidants).
Cosmetic / Spa applications: due to its natural composition and low-temperature process, perfect starting material for skin creams (UV protection, aging) , enveloping products (slimming potentials) and seaweed bath (general mineral treatments).
OGT is currently investigating market demand and development options in order to further develop these novel applications.
